Kathryn A. Vorisek | Senior Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer and Small Cap Team Leader
Kathryn A. Vorisek is senior managing director, chief investment officer and small cap team leader at Fiduciary Management Associates. As senior managing director, Ms. Vorisek manages the business and financial operations of the firm. Ms. Vorisek joined FMA in 1996 and was appointed FMA’s chief investment officer in 2000. In her role as CIO, Ms. Vorisek oversees all aspects of the investment process and manages the firm’s research efforts. Ms. Vorisek also serves as the small cap team leader, a role she has held since 1998. Ms. Vorisek has responsibility for the portfolio management of FMA’s small cap products as well as analytical responsibility for the consumer and energy sectors. Ms. Vorisek possesses more than 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining FMA, Ms. Vorisek worked as an equity and fixed income analyst for Duff & Phelps Investment Management in Chicago. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago. Ms. Vorisek holds a BS in finance from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in finance and international business. Ms. Vorisek is majority shareholder of FMA.
Ophelia L. Barsketis is the co-team leader for FMA’s large cap products. She also provides investment research coverage for the energy, telecommunications technology, and utilities sectors. Ms. Barsketis has more than 20 years of investment management experience as both a portfolio manager and research analyst at several investment management institutions. Prior to joining FMA in 2004, she was a senior vice president at Duff & Phelps Investment Management and a managing director at various subsidiaries of Liberty Financial as well as Stein, Roe & Farnham. She is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Ms. Barsketis earned a BA from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
As chief marketing officer, Frederick M. Devlin is responsible for all aspects of FMA’s client service, consultant relations and new business development. Mr. Devlin joined FMA in 2006 and has 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and client service within the investment management industry. He joined FMA from The Northern Trust Company. Prior to relocating to Chicago, Mr. Devlin spent his career in New York with A. G. Becker, Citigroup Asset Management and Morgan Grenfell Capital Management where he spent 10 years and was head of institutional sales and marketing. Mr. Devlin holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard University.
David J. Meyer | Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer
David J. Meyer is chief operating officer and department manager for trading, IT and operations. As the director of trading, he is actively involved in the implementation of FMA’s investment strategy. His operational oversight includes portfolio accounting, performance measurement, fund operations/administration and technology. Prior to joining FMA in 1994, Mr. Meyer worked for The Northern Trust Company. He is past president of the Security Traders Association of Chicago and serves on the Institutional Committee of the National Security Traders Association and on the Advisory Board for Institutional Investor’s Trader Forum. Mr. Meyer earned a BBA in finance and economics from Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Meyer is an equity holder of FMA.
Lloyd J. Spicer, CFA

Co-Team Leader
Lloyd J. Spicer serves as co-team leader with Ophelia Barsketis for FMA’s large cap products. Mr. Spicer also provides research coverage on the financial services, basic materials and capital goods sectors. In addition to his work on the large cap team, Mr. Spicer also establishes the firm’s economic outlook and leads the development and implementation of the fixed income strategy. Mr. Spicer joined FMA in 1994 and has 25 years of investment experience. Prior to joining FMA, Mr. Spicer served as a portfolio manager and managed overall interest rate risk at LaSalle National Corporation. In addition, he served as senior vice president and director of various bank subsidiaries where he directed the design and implementation of investment policies. Mr. Spicer is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Mr. Spicer holds a BS in economics from Indiana State University and an MBA in finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Mr. Spicer is an equity holder of FMA.
Andrew S. Hadland, CFA | Senior Director, Small Cap Research Analyst
Mr. Hadland is a small cap research analyst with a strong background in the technology and health care sectors. Mr. Hadland was a senior equity analyst at The Northern Trust Company and a senior analyst and co-portfolio manager at Conseco Capital Management prior to joining FMA in 2002 as a director. He has nearly 10 years of industry experience. Mr. Hadland is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Mr. Hadland earned a BS from Miami of Ohio University and an MBA from Indiana University. Mr. Hadland is an equity holder of FMA.
Leo Harmon serves as associate team leader and research analyst for FMA’s small cap products. Mr. Harmon has more than 15 years of industry experience as a portfolio manager and research analyst covering a variety of industries in both larger and smaller capitalizations with expertise in financial services and utilities. Prior to joining FMA in 2003, Mr. Harmon was a sector portfolio manager at Allstate Insurance, Allstate Investments LLC. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and a member of the CFA Institute. He is on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Chicago. Mr. Harmon earned a BS from Bradley University and an MBA from Duke University. Mr. Harmon is an equity holder of FMA.

L. Melcher, chief compliance officer, manages FMA’s compliance programs.
Prior to joining FMA in 2005, Ms. Melcher was an owner, chief compliance
officer and chief operating officer at Stratford Advisory Group, a
Chicago-based investment adviser. She has more than 25 years (19 in the
industry) of management, compliance, and financial consulting experience
with small businesses, including as a sole proprietor and a consultant at
Arthur Andersen & Co. Ms. Melcher is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants. She earned a BS in accounting from the
University of Illinois, an MS in taxation, and completed the CFP Program at
DePaul University. Ms. Melcher passed the CFP exam in 2004.
Daniel J. Dutile, CFA

Daniel J. Dutile is a small cap research analyst with expertise in the basic materials, capital goods and transportation sectors. Prior to joining FMA in 2004, Mr. Dutile was a senior equity research analyst at Harris Trust and Savings Bank. He has 20 years of industry experience. Mr. Dutile is a CFA charterholder, as well as a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Mr. Dutile holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Anne T. Durkin serves as a large cap research analyst with a strong background in the health care and consumer sectors. Ms. Durkin was an analyst at ABN AMRO Asset Management and an equity analyst at Sirius Partners prior to joining FMA in 2000. She has nearly 20 years of industry experience. Ms. Durkin is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Ms. Durkin holds a BS from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
Nancy Fisher

Nancy Fisher serves as a director in trading for FMA. As a senior trader, Ms. Fisher works closely with the managing director of trading and with the investment team to effect best execution for trades. Prior to joining FMA in 1999, Ms. Fisher worked for Security Management Co., Great Lakes Advisors, and Monetta Financial Services, Inc., where she spent seven years as a head trader. Ms. Fisher is a member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago.
Loryn J. Mischke | Director, Marketing
As a director on FMA’s marketing team, Loryn J. Mischke is responsible for maintaining and expanding the firm’s consultant relationships, providing client service for existing relationships and managing FMA’s marketing support staff. Prior to joining FMA in 2006, she served as a vice president and director of client communications for Institutional Capital and has held similar marketing and communication positions at Security Capital, Mesirow Financial and Munder Capital Management. She has 20 years of industry experience. Ms. Mischke holds a BA from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Jason J. Hoyer, CFA | Associate Director, Fixed Income Research Analyst
Jason J. Hoyer serves as a fixed income research analyst, focusing on corporate bond analysis and portfolio construction, monitoring and reporting. Prior to joining FMA in 2003, he was a financial analyst at CIGNA Healthcare, evaluating pricing strategies within multiple sectors and industries. Mr. Hoyer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan with a concentration in economics. Mr. Hoyer is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute.
Sarah E. Tobolski | Research Associate, Large Cap Equity
Sarah Tobolski joined FMA in June 2007 as a large cap equity research associate. Ms. Tobolski came to FMA directly from graduating Marquette University with her bachelor’s degree in business administration. At Marquette, Ms. Tobolski gained meaningful investment experience by working as the media analyst for the Applied Investment Management Fund at the university. In this role, Ms. Tobolski helped to actively manage close to $1.2 million dollars of Marquette University’s endowment. Prior to graduating, Ms. Tobolski held an investment internship at Pennant management.
